Abstract: The discussion will explore the vital role of social sustainability in fostering inclusive business communities, with a specific focus on integrating principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Social sustainability encompasses practices and initiatives that prioritize the well-being, diversity, and cohesion of communities within the context of economic development. By examining the intersection of social sustainability and DEI, the conducted discussion will elucidates how businesses can create environments that embrace diversity, ensure equitable opportunities, and foster a culture of inclusion. By presenting research findings, teaching experiences and case studies, some strategies and approaches will be proposed to proactively address systemic barriers, and cultivate belongingness among employees, stakeholders, and the broader community. Ultimately, it underscores the importance of embedding principles of social sustainability and DEI into the fabric of business operations to build resilient, inclusive, and thriving communities.
