We hope this message finds you well. It is with great pleasure that we extend this heartfelt invitation to you for a special event, the Women’s Forum, which will take place as a prelude to the Academy to Society Conference on Global Social and Technological Development and Sustainability.

Title: Women’s Forum – “Women as Catalysts for Sustainable Development: Exploring the Role of Women in Driving Social and Technological Innovation for a Sustainable Future”

At this exclusive event, we will delve into the invaluable contributions of women in the realm of sustainable development, with a specific focus on their roles in driving social and technological innovation for a more sustainable future.
Our discussions will encompass a subtopic dedicated to “Women in Environmental Advocacy”

Moderator:

Phumza Dyani, Vice President of the EUMMAS Women’s Forum

Phumza is the founder of the Pan African Network for Investment and Development (PANfID), and a partner in the Southern African region for the Regional Consortium of Experts for Development (RCD Africa). She has spent over 18 years in various roles in the ICT industry. Phumza has worked for the major Mobile Operators in the continent, MTN and Vodacom, and has operated across spheres in her career.

Speakers: 

Silvia Sartori, Gender & Sustainability Consultant

Silvia supports international organisations and civil society groups to mainstream gender and embed sustainability in their projects and operations. She has extensive experience in international development and cooperation projects on environment, energy and climate, women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship, private sector support and innovation. She is also actively engaged in mentorship programs supporting female leadership globally and authored the book “Advancing Sustainable Development and Women’s Empowerment in Asia”.

Dr. Karina R. Jensen, Founder and Executive Director of Global Minds Network

Dr. Karina R. Jensen is an international management consultant, change facilitator, and educator with 25+ years of experience in leading global innovation and education initiatives. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Global Minds Network LLC and MICollaboratory.org. She is also a Professor in Organizational Behavior, Innovation and Leadership at UM6P Africa Business School in Morocco. She has authored the book Leading Global Innovation and co-edited the recent book Innovation Leadership in Practice among other publications.

Dr. Dina Yacout, Vice President of the EUMMAS Women’s Forum I Vice President of the EUMMAS Advisory Board

Dina is a Chairwoman of the Businesswomen Committee in the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce in Egypt. She is also a Mentor and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom. Dr. Yacout is a Member of the syndicate of Egyptian pharmacists and a member of the pharmacists’ committee in the Chamber of Commerce. She excels in business development and marketing consultancy to organizations within the fields of Pharma, Agriculture, Training companies and FMCGs as well as in customized in-house training.
