archer has a number of milestones to achieve in order to be called an ‘experienced researcher’. At any level of the Researchers Journey, one of the first things they are asked to tackle (a major milestone) is their Research Philosophy. This is pivotal in looking at their own philosophical stance of how they perceive reality, which will actually guide their journey. The purpose of this seminar is to start at this very first step and enable the researcher to clearly identify what their ontological and epistemological perspectives are, so as to proceed with the next steps of their research. The next milestone is to publish their work. This will be another purpose of this seminar which aims to provide some tips and guidance of how to develop a paper, how to choose the right avenue to publish, and how to deal with reviewers feedback. Whether a researcher is an undergraduate, post graduate or doctoral student, the Thesis is another milestone, which is sometimes feared more than it actually should. The final purpose of this seminar will address some issues students face when preparing to defend their Thesis, and some useful do’s and don’ts.
